Third Place at Yesil Bursa Rally

 

The final tarmac rally of 2015 Turkish Rally Championship was held in Bursa between 13-14 June. We managed to finish the event third overall in our Ford Fiesta S2000.

The rally started on the 13th of June with around noon time, immediately followed by a spectator stage around the tight roads of Kultur Park. Afterwards we headed on to the suburbs of Orhaneli for the first real stage of the day “Dagguney”. We managed to start the rally well but made a few mistakes on the long stage of the day to end Saturday in second place, 23 seconds behind the leader. We had a strategy to push to claw back the lost time on Sunday morning. We managed to do so until we had a spin on the 8th stage of the rally and lost about 10 seconds when trying to restart the stalled car. After that point on the margin was too great to push for the overall lead so we had a steady pace to the rally finish.
