We Received Fairplay Award by the National Olympic Committee

We received Fairplay Honoraray Diploma for Sportsman Behavior by the Turkish National Olympic Committe.

In the 42th Bosphorus Rally which is the biggest event in motor sports; while fighting for the first place trophy our strongest opponent Riku Tahko from Finland had an accident in the fourth lap and had gotten out off the road. He needed help so we stopped to help him and then drove to the first sos point to call for an ambulance.

For me and my co-pilot Burçin Korkmaz being deemed worthy for the prize ‘Fairplay Honoraray Diploma for Sportsman Behavior’ by the most prestigious foundation is a very big honor and an unforgottable memory.

To receive our prize we attended the beautiful event in 14th of May in Atakoy Olympic House with our team director Serdar Bostancı, our teammate Murat Bostancı, our families and TOSFED General Secretary Mr.Mete Bayrakçı. Being a part of a big team, we received this price on behalf of Castrol Ford Team Turkey. No doubt that if it was any other member of our team they would have stopped to do the same in order to help the opponent.

This is a first time a motorsport athlete in Turkey is receiving such prestigious award. It was a big priviledge to receive it in our sport which is not an olympic, and be among very important and valuable sportsmen.

Another honor for us came from, Mr.Haydar Yenigün, General Manager of Ford, manufacturer support of our team, with a thanking letter he brought himself to our garage Teknik Motorspor. We would like to thank to Mr.Yenigün, Ford family and our team director Serdar Bostancı for giving us this opportunity.
